Our foundation in 2002 was initially driven by the idea of providing optimal support to people who had lost their jobs within the framework of outplacement consulting. We wanted to do more than just prepare our clients for entering the job market through coaching and consulting services. From the beginning, in addition to the still important counselling, the concrete search for vacant positions for the clients was a central concern.

Success came quickly and in 2003 further locations were added in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart and Munich. In 2004, with the Harz III reforms, the newly created transfer companies were included in the range of services. Here, too, the focus of our work for our clients was on rapid placement from the very beginning.

In 2005, our range of services in the area of separation management was expanded to include all aspects of workforce transformation in addition to outplacement and transfer companies.

In 2006 , we recognized that our clients needed more support in implementing activities on the job market and were the first to introduce a service we called "Jobsearch" at the time, which involves researching and targeting business decision-makers. In the meantime, this has become an independent service in the field of career reorientation as "Inverse Headhunting" and has found numerous imitators.

From 2010, additional locations were created and the staff and consultant base was consistently expanded.

In 2016 , we successfully implemented the development of volunteer programs in the area of separation management for the first time and integrated it into the range of consulting services.

Today, KARENT is one of the three leading specialists in the field of outplacement, career consulting and transfer companies and still has a clear unique selling point with its focus on the successful implementation of a clear candidate positioning and search strategy.
